VANOC: New Employee Orientation Programme

SERVICES PROVIDED

  • Facilitation
  • Training

When VANOC—the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games—faced the monumental task of rapidly onboarding and galvanizing a vast array of employees and volunteers, they knew they needed help. Drawing from the success of our previous collaboration with Vancity, they turned to Kyosei.

Our team dove headfirst into extensive research, conducting interviews and reviewing copious amounts of material to deeply understand the essence of VANOC’s mission. The result? A compelling, interactive multimedia presentation designed to ignite passion with minimal overhead—a course so emotionally impactful, it moved many to tears.

The 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games became more than just a global sporting event; it was a triumph of organizational brilliance. Vancouver welcomed 650,000 visitors during the fortnight of festivities, and the games are frequently cited as one of the most successful Olympic events ever held. Far from just ticking off a box, our work with VANOC became a cornerstone case study in the art and science of inspiring large-scale, high-stakes endeavors.
